2008 Yiwu Fair: a display of the latest world commodity development results and trends
There are still 3 months from the opening, 2008 Yiwu Internatonal Commodity Fair has already started its preparatory work. Yesterday, the author got the news form the office of Fair Organizing Committee that so far, the participants are more than 1,120, the ordered booths over 2,300.
The 2008 Yiwu Fair overall plan given by the committee shows that the theme of this year is “Global Procurement, Yiwu Wind”, comprehensive display the latest results and trends, establish a platform of image promotion, economice and trade negotioation, brand development and information exchange, promote the optimization and upgrading of small commodities industry enhence the the economic, professional and extraversion of the Fair, to serve the construction of an international trade city.
It is learnt that the total volume of trade of the 2007 fair is RMB 10.89 billion, increased by 15.3% compared to the preverous one, among this the foreign trade amount is USD 0.98 billion taking up 67.5% of the total volume of the deal. According to the plan of the Committee the scale of this year’s Fair will greatly exceed last year. According to the introduction of Chen Xiuxian, the Director of the Committee Office and the Vice Municipal Secretary, 2008 Yiwu International Fair will set 4,500 booth of internationl standard, the paticipant enterprises will be about 2,500. The professional viewer will be over 110,000, among which foreign merchant will be 17,000 from more than 130 countries and regions. The outside broder froeign trade team will be over 80 including more than 10 transnational retail groups which participate the fair and purchase.
According to the plan, the 2008 Yiwu Fair Expo set up trade shows, conferences forums, cultural activities, such as the three major sections, adhere to the customers as the center, highlighting trade and economic functions, pay attention to show results. The exhibition strive to expand the number of buyers and exhibitors optimize the structure of a breakthrough in the exhibition organized level of service, level meeting, exhibition and information visibility of building a new upgrade.
