MAER-SK entered into Yiwu MAER-SK, the largest shipping company, entered into Yiwu, an anhydrous port. It took about 10 minutes from inspection to uninstall,the truck,which was labelled MAER-SK,completed tha basic transfer projict. You can often see this kind truck in and out of Yiwu International logistics centre on the Yiwu Airport Road. The reporters learned that the largest shipping company MAER-SK has formally assigned to Yiwu. Nowdays,MAER-SK occupy 17% of the world's container shipping market, and they own more than 500 container ships and 190million containers. It is both unexpected and reasonable for MAER-SK to assigned to Yiwu. Why it is unexpected because MAER-SK'S cooperation and investment projects are mostly in coastal cities such as Shanghai, Xiamen,so it is a little beyond our expection to take a fancy to Yiwu.However,it is also reasonable,because it is the 17th time for Yiwu market to be the top of national wholesale market. In 2007,Yiwu International Logistics Center set a new record by achieving 42 million TEUs through a whole year,an increase of 20.61 percent.Especially in July 2006,Jinhua customs office and the Yiwu international logistics centre signed an agreement on the warehouse in logistics centre to become the customs warehouse.The signing of this agreement not only reduce the shipping time for various of shipping companies,but also make the Yiwu International Logistics Center and Shanghai Port,Ningbo port "remote customs, discharging in port". Yiwu is becoming an out-and-out anhydrous port. The registration data in Yiwu industrial and commercial bureau also shows that the proportion of the local export-oriented market players is very high, the proportion of foreign trade reached 60%.The data in the ministry of the foreign trade and economic cooperation shows that there is a dramatic increase no matter in import or export.The gross export to Europe is larger than the export to Asia,and the Europe become the largest market. Faced with the sound development of foreign trade in Yiwu, Maersk and other shipping companies have taken a fancy to this valuable land. From the beginning of the end of 2005, MAER-SK and Yiwu International Logistics Center began contacts and negotiations,and achieved an initial intention. In the following two years, MAER-SK conducted frequent inspection in Yiwu International Logistics Center.
