–Zhugong Rock & Tongshan Rock

The Labor Day is a golden time for touring. In Yiwu there are also many interesting and worth place to travel. Here I introduce two places first.

Zhugong rock is in WuYan Foothills, which is located in the HuaXi Village of Niansanli Town. although we called it as a rock, the reality it is a hole. long time ago, there was an old monk who wrote “ZhuYang Hole ” here, and the name “Zhugong Rock” is its vulgar name. Zhu Yang hole is surrounded by mountains, sitting east to west. on the top of portal on the wall, there are some words that wroted by magistrate Zhoushi Ying’s “Yunshan sarcophagus (云山石室)” in Ming Dynasty and Zhu Yang Hole owner Yu Guoqi’s  the main book “Yunshan sarcophagus”, “rinsing stone, flowing pillow(漱石枕流)”, and in Qianlong time Yu Enshou signed there and other stones “Yunfei”, “Zen Rock”. Inside of the hole, there is another small holes, big holes, and alley sid. The small holes covers in big holes. Many holes are interlinked, and the shape is very interesting and unique. The biggest hole is about 10 meters in depth, 5 meters in width, 2 meters in height, and covering an area of ​​50 square meters. It’s very bright and wide as a hall that can  accommodate a hundred people. Inside the cave is not only Hugong Temple, Kwun Yam Temple, but also there are many different patterns of rocks, known as the stone mortar, stone pillow, stone bed, stone drum and so on.

About 15 km from the Yiting Town, there is a cliff which is like a crouching lion on the ground, 50 meters in length and 13 meters in height, and it looks up to face north. This is the Tongshan Rock which is like a lion. In order to adapt to the need of sightseeing, in 1980s, people in cliff’ mouth by the Tongshan Rock’s built many temples, for example, the Great Buddha’s Hall, Hugong Temple, in cliff’s back, building hexagonal kiosk, the Hall of Heavenly Kings. In 1996, Jade Buddha Temple was built, and there was a jade buddha from Burmese present, over 400 kg in weight, 1.6 m in height.
