Yiwu Customs Officially Opened in July 2009

Yiwu Amanda reports: On July 15, Yiwu Customs officially opened and began the conduct of business. It is the first county-level city affiliated customs within the jurisdictions of Hangzhou Customs.

As China’s largest small commodities export base, Yiwu market exports commodities to 215 countries and regions. Foreign trade accounts for over 65% of total market transactions. The establishment of Yiwu Customs will be another boost to commodities export. Yiwu Customs will launch the new commodities inspection dispatch work platform and on-site business documents queueing system, to further facilitate local declaration for Yiwu commodities export. Yiwu Customs is also the first in China to set up Intellectual Property Rights Section to provide stronger IPR protection for commodities export.
