2011 Yiwu Fair Preview

2011 China International Tourism Commodity Fair will be held next year from May 26 to May 29 in Yiwu. The exhibition is sponsored by the National Tourism Bureau, Zhejiang Provincial Government at Yiwu International Exhibition Centre. In 2010, the second session of Yiwu Tourism Commodity Fair achieved a total turnover of 2.769 billion RMB, and the number of participants is more than 100,000. It builds a good show  platform for business and has played a positive role in boosting the development of China’s tourism industry.

According to Amanda reporters, leisure goods gift industry is one of the five pillar industries of Yiwu City, and the total exports accounted for 55% of the whole city,in 2009 industrial output value is 12.5 billion.  In 2004 Yiwu City  was awarded the “China production base of outdoor leisure products and gifts” by the Federation of Light Industry. Sunshade umbrellas, woven loveseat, car shed, awnings and other products has enjoyed a high reputation in the international market, and garden supplies and Christmas gifts have a long history of production and favoured by European and American customers.

Yiwu city’s recreational products industry association of leisure and tourism industry was founded in August 2003. At present, it has 70 member companies, among which there are 14 members of companies with over 100 million  sales revenue and they are the backbone member of Chinese etiquette Products Industry Association. Currently many of the member companies of Yiwu city have been preparing next year’s China International Tourism Commodity Fair.
