The 4th China Crystal & Glass Industry Fair will be opened on 1st, Nov.-3rd, Nov. 2008.
Located in the middle Zhejiang province and neighboring Yiwu, Pujiang is an industrial clustering city with well-developed private economy and pioneering spirit. With a population of 380,000 and an area of only 920 square kilometers, Pujiang prides itself in its comprehensive economic strength close to the Top 100 Counties in China. Pujijang features in crystal glasscraft and enjoys the highest market share (above 60% in China). This industry has become the biggest crystal glass handicraft manufacturing and trading base and raw material distribution center in the world, gathering over 1,200 manufacturing enterprises and 1,000 dealers exploring markets in Pujiang, Yiwu and other places at home and abroad. In the year 2003, it was renowned as Capital of China Crystals by China National Light Industry Federation.
Linkage between industry and exhibition, and cooperation between Pujiang and Yiwu
As the biggest commodity wholesale market in the world, Yiwu is the most important distribution center for the crystal industry in Pujiang. More than 200 crystal manufacturers have set up shops in Yiwu International Trade City and sold the glittering and translucent crystals with excellent quality and reasonable price to the world.
Review of Previous Fairs
Sponsored by China National Association for Glass Industry, two national level crystal glass fairs were held in Pujiang County in 2001 and 2002. 256 enterprises from 15 cities and provinces including Beijiang, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Hebei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Shangdong participated in the exhibition. Buyers and purchasing groups from over 10 countries and regions including Taiwan, Hongkong, the US, Japan, Korea, Canada, Austria, Australia, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates visited the fair. 11 investment projects were concluded and signed in the two fairs, totaling an investment of USD27 million while 25 contracts were signed, totaling a trade volume of 130 million yuan.
