China Yiwu International Commodities Fair (hereafter refer to Yiwu Fair) is an International Consumer Goods Fair that was authorized by the State Council and jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and People’s Government of Zhejiang Province. It is held each year on October 21-25 in Yiwu.
Yiwu Fair has 5000 international standard booths with an exhibition area of 120,000 square meters. The exhibition scale ranks the first among national daily necessities exhibitions. This exhibition covers cultural office, sports & entertainment, toys, knitted accessories, garments, handicrafts, daily necessities, fashion jewelry, cosmetic, suitcases and leatherware, hardware & electronics, electronics, auto supplies, service trade, crystal and glass products industries, which attracts thousands of exhibitors every year. There are more than 120,000 professional visitors and over 18,000 foreign businessmen, which is second to the Canton Fair and East China Fair, of which Europe and other developed countries account for 27%. The foreign trade turnover accounts for over 60%. Yiwu Fair can bring valuable information and opportunities and has become the green channel for businessmen to take over domestic and overseas markets.
Since the first session held in 1995, Yiwu Fair has been successfully held 16 sessions. Now it has become domestic largest, the most influential and most effective consumer products exhibition, which is the third largest export commodity fair following the Canton Fair and East China Fair and has been awarded the 2005 China Best Management Exhibition, 2006-2007 China Best(Exhibition Effect) Exhibition, 2007 Yangtze River Delta Quality Exhibition Project, The Most Concerned Exhibition on the 30th Anniversary of China’s Reform and Opening-up and 2008 Most Influential Brand Exhibition successively.
2011 the 17th Yiwu Fair is 249 days away, we are looking forward to see another prominent result brought by this fair.
