Yiwu Inland Modern Logistics Development and International Inland Port Construction High-level Seminar was held in Yiwu Zhejiang on February 3-4. Yiwu city officials said yiwu would invest 19 billion yuan to build “Yiwu inland port” in the future.

Leader of Jinhua Municipal Committee, Yiwu Municipal Party Secretary said at the seminar, “Yiwu Inland Port Logistics park is a logistics demonstration base to be built by Zhejiang Province and sectors jointly. During the implementation of “the 12th five-year plan”(national economic and social development of The People’s Republic of China), we will invest 19 billion yuan to build goods collection and distribution system to meet the needs of high efficient goods handling “Yiwu port”. Recently, we will also focus on strengthening the planning and construction of Yiwu inland port stations, commodity export supervision centers, public bonded warehouses and other 6 major functional blocks.”

It is learnt that Yiwu inland port has become a major inland port and national largest LTL freight loading logistics hub as well as one of the three “great customs clearance” pilot cities of Zhejiang Province. During next phase, Yiwu will be devoted to creating customs clearance facilitation and operation mode and enhancing the informization and automization construction level in logistics industry so as to build inland port into a national major logistics node port of radiation to home and abroad, commodity distribution and production materials.
