Yiwu International trade city will become the world Renowned Trade City

In 2003, Yiwu City made innovations in its development philosophy, and it got rid of the idea of only planning the downtown to involve the entire Yiwu City into its planning. As a result, it promulgated the Executive Outline for Yiwu City’s Urban-rural Integration to involve Yiwu City’s administrative regions into its uniform planning, as a way to boost the urbanization process. On the ground of this, Yiwu City enacted the Overall Planning for Yiwu City’s Administrative Regions 2006-2020 in 2006. In light of the planning, Yiwu City will fix its eyes on the global market and take into account its development actualities. Meanwhile, it will take account of its development in the province and the Yangtze River Delta, in order to dedicate itself to sharing resources, expanding urban hinterland, and building metropolis area in Central Zhejiang. It is worth pointing out that such planning has been approved by Zhejiang Provincial Government.

In March this year, the Overall Planning of Zhejiang Province for Bolstering Yiwu City’s Comprehensive Pilot Reform in International Trade was approved by the State Council, and Yiwu City’s urbanization process got its new connotation: Yiwu City will evolve into the International Petty Commodities Trade Centre and International Renowned Trade City suitable for tour, living, and business.
